SUNSHINE-Honey

Makes fruit sweet and edibles more flavorful

SUNSHINE-HONEY (or SUNSHINE-Sweet) - is natural, Amber-colored, honey-like liquid microelement product for fruiting and edible plants that will make them sweeter, tastier and more flavorful! Very effective for tropical fruits, tubers, vegetables, and herbs. Great for mango trees, tropical cherries, berry plants (blackberry, mulberry, etc.). Increases potency to medicinal edibles and herbs.

SUNSHINE-Honey - is a basic nutritional complement, it contains essential plant micronutrients Boron (B) and Molybdenum (Mo). These elements are essential to vegetative and reproductive growth, cell expansion, tissue growth, and fertility. A very common problem for most unimproved garden soils is lack of Molybdenum and Boron as soil micro-component. This results in underdeveloped / low quality fruit and/or premature fruit drop (see more info on B-Mo agronomic roles and signs of dificiency in plants). Applying SUNSHINE Honey on your fruit trees will fill that gap and help a fruit tree to form a healthy fruit.

SUNSHINE-Honey provides for your fruit trees and edibles:

  • moving sugar to the heart/center of plant
  • form healthier, quality fruit as well as tubers
  • grow bigger size fruit, and in higher quantities
  • improve taste and flavor of fruit and herbs
  • sweeter fruit and vegetables with increased sugar content in all parts of a plant including roots
  • reducing bud drop and incresing number of buds
  • preventing cracking of fruit, enhancing cell wall stabilization, structure and integrity, improving storage and shelf life of fruit
  • more efficient blossoming and pollination

Advantages of SUNSHINE-Honey:

  • provides effective prevention of boron deficiency
  • is non-phytotoxic even in early applications
  • is highly soluble and stable across a broad pH range
  • compatible with other micronutrients, including Zn and Ca

Most effective in following plants:

  • Tropical fruit trees: Mango, June Plum, Annonas, Tropical Cherries, Carambola, Citrus
  • Subtropical fruit trees: Peaches, Apricots, Loquat, all Stone fruits
  • Temperate fruit trees: Apples, Pears, Plums, Cherries
  • Berries: Blackberry, Mulberry, Strawberry, Blueberry, Grapes, Melon, Watermelon
  • Tubers: Beets, Turnips, Carrots, Sweet Potato, Radish
  • Vegetables: Tomatoes, Peppers, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Corn, Asparagus, Celery, Lettuce, Onion, Spinach

DIRECTIONS

Solution:

  • Mix 2.5 ml of SUNSHINE-Honey with 1 gal of distilled water. Convenient dropper bottle is also great for small applications: 1 ml = 30 drops.
  • Spray foliage thoroughly and let excess amount drain into soil and root system
  • Do not mix solution with other fertilizers/plant boosters
  • Application of SUNSHINE-E plant booster a day before is recommended as it speeds up plant metabolism and increases effect of SUNSHINE-Honey.

Application schedule:

Apply up to 5 times a year (you may start any time of the year):

  • in Spring on new growth - solution may be diluted for tender foliage sensitive to Boron applications - 1 ml per 1 gal of water
  • in about 2 weeks after 2d treatment, during active growth, with regular solution concentration
  • at time of setting buds, approximately 2 weeks before flowering
  • 1-2 weeks after flowering
  • before dormancy (Fall - Early Winter)

Do not exceed the appropriate dose rates. Young plants with new foliage are more sensitive to applications of Boron. Overdose may cause severe leaf burn.

Do not mix solution directly with other fertilizers/plant boosters.

May be used in micro-irrigation systems.

Using SUNSHINE booster products in combination

According to our experimental results, it is highly recommended to use SUNSHINE-E booster 24 hours before SUNSHINE-Honey application.

SUNSHINE-E booster wakes up the plant, providing faster metabolism. After that, you may use application of any microelements. One of them is SUNSHINE-Honey.

Guaranteed analysis of the concentrate

SUNSHINE-Honey is a basic nutritional complement. This product contains Boron and Molybdenum and is used to improve sugar content of fruit and vegetable crops.

Boron (B) 11.000% - water soluble
Molybdenum (Mo) 0.005% - water soluble
Derived from: boric acid H3BO3 and ammonium heptamolybdate tetrahydrate (NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O
pH of water solution (2.5 ml concentrate per 1 gal of water) = 7,5-8

Toxicology and Ecological Safety

It contains available forms of essential plant micronutrients boron and molybdenum.
It is ecologically safe nontoxic chemical, that has been supported by the toxicological studies.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash hands thoroughly before eating.

Storage and disposal

Store this product out of direct sunlight, in a cool place above 40ºF. Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.
Do not reuse empty container.

Compatibility

SUNSHINE-Honey is tank-mix compatible with most pesticides and fertilizers.
However it is not recommended to mix it directly with other chemicals.

General Agronomic Function of Boron and Molybdenum combination

  • Boron with Molybdenum work better in combination
  • Enhances cell wall stabilization, structure and integrity (see reference)
  • improves plant vigor
  • Aids in nitrogen assimilation and root nodulation formation, increases nitrogen uptake and utilization
  • Aids in carbohydrate metabolism and sugar translocation
  • Aids in protein synthesis
  • Essential to germination and pollination. Molybdenum has a significant effect on pollen formation, so fruit and grain formation are affected in molybdenum-deficient plants.
  • Boron plays role in protection against frost damage which shows decreased frost-induced shoot-tip dieback and increased flowering and fruit yield (see reference)
  • Molybdenum is involved in enzyme systems relating to nitrogen fixation by bacteria growing symbiotically with legumes
  • Nitrogen metabolism, protein synthesis and sulfur metabolism are positively affected by molybdenum.

Signs of Boron and Molybdenum deficiency:

  • reduced seed and grain production
  • at the growing points - stunted appearance (rosetting)
  • "barren ears" due to poor pollination
  • hollow stems and fruit (hollow heart)
  • brittle, discolored leaves
  • loss of fruiting bodies

If your plants show these symptoms, do not wait, help them to get healthy!

If I spray fruit on my mango tree with SUNSHINE-Honey, will they become sweet?

No, this is not how it works. The mechanism of SUNSHINE-Honey is not about affecting a fruit directly; it is about moving sugar to the heart/center of plant through plant metabolism. By treating a tree, you give it a chance to naturally grow a healthy, quality fruit with higher content of sugar. This is why it is important to follow recommended application schedule throughout the year.

DO NOT SPRAY FRUIT! Apply solution of SUNSHINE-Honey on leaves, stems, and soil/root system. Spraying flower buds, flowers, and just setting tiny fruit (ovary) is OK.

Will SUNSHINE-Honey make normally sour fruit sweet?

SUNSHINE-Honey inhances existing natural flavor and increases sugar content. It may make orange sweeter by increasing sugar content that is normaly present in orange even in low doses. However super-sour fruit like Amla won't become sweet, although applications will improve fruit crop, quality and size. To make sour fruit taste sweet, you may use Miracle Fruit.

Do I need to use distilled water for solution?

Using distilled water is recommended for soulution preparation, however is not critical since SUNSHINE-Honey is stable in wide range of pH. If you are unsure of water quality and pH in your tap, just use a gallon of distilled water from grocery store.

Can I store the solution? Do I need to refrigirate it?

prepared solution can be stored for 2-3 days in a dark place at room temperature.

Both concentrate and solution do not require refrigiration. However make sure to keep them away from bright light. The product may turn dark amber if exposed to light for a long time.

Can I use SUNSHINE-Honey on my organic veggies?

SUNSHINE-Honey is basically a micro-element supplement. It is derived from harmless ingredients - boric acid and ammonium heptamolybdate. If you use micro-elements on your edibles, SUNSHINE-Honey is your best choice.

Is this chemical harmful for pets?

SUNSHINE-Honey is non-toxic. However like every chemical, it may be harmful in large doses. Keep concentrate away from children and pets. Wash your hands after mixing and applications.

This SUNSHINE-Honey looks just like honey! Is it sweet to taste?

SUNSHINE-Honey has nothing to do with bee Honey and it doesn't even any sugar in it. It is NOT for human consumption and can be only used as plant food supplement.

Can I put bee honey on my plants, will they grow sweeter fruit?

No, regular honey won't make your fruit trees grow sweeter fruit. But you can put bee honey on your fruit to make them sweeter.
